2 Minn. Priests to Take Leave of Absence

Two priests will be taking a leave of absence as a result of an ongoing review of clergy files, according to the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

In a statement released Sunday, the archdiocese announced the priests have agreed to take a leave of absence from their ministries. They state that the two situations are not related, but are both a result of the review of clergy files by an outside firm that archdiocese hired.

According to the statement, neither incident was deemed severe enough to be criminal. The two priests will not perform any public ministries until a final review is complete.
