Corvallis Priest Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A priest known as Father Isidore who was associated with the St. Anne Orthodox Church in Corvallis has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Albany police said Stanley Brittain, aka Father Isidore, is being held in jail on charges of encouraging child sex abuse.

Police detectives raided a home in the 2400 block of Southeast Eighth Avenue on Thursday morning, and they said they found evidence supporting the child porn charges. A police spokesman didn't elaborate on the evidence.

The investigation began when the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force passed along a tip to Albany police regarding Brittain.

Brittain was arrested without incident and booked into the Linn County Jail.

Police said Brittain was associated with the St. Anne Orthodox Church until last week.
