J.C. Corcoran: “I’m officially done with radio in St. Louis.” J.C. will return here with his wife and daughter, Clarissa and Francesca, from Houston in a few weeks and now has an online website, www.jcontheline.com. You can hear his show and the subscription-based music station beginning today. J.C. said after a year in Houston, the station he was on has gone hip-hop. Corcoran: “BTW, did I mention I can’t fucking stand Texas?”. . .What’s up with Katie Horner at KMOV? The station has welcomed newcomer Meghan Danahey, but never allowed Katie to say adieu. No mention anywhere of Katie who has been removed from the station’s website with no mention. . .Will the pontiff soon punish a prelate who was a St. Louis priest? Tongues are wagging in Catholic circles since last night when Pope Francis said the Vatican has investigated a convicted bishop on sex abuse and is pondering what to do next. SNAP leaders believe the Pope is referring to K.C. Bishop Robert Finn who was found guilty almost two years ago for concealing evidence about Fr. Shawn Ratigan’s child sex crimes. . .Two decades have passed since Microsoft founder Bill Gates was characterized as “ruthless, predatory and having monopolistic conduct,” alleges our town’s wealth adviser, Charles Lowenhaupt. Lowenhaupt has told The New York Times that Gates is now “a worldwide force for good” through his philanthropy.”
