Jordan Endrei, 26, will face a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The son of a pastor accused of sexual battery was indicted on similar charges this week, according to court records.

Jordan Endrei, 26, who lives in North Olmsted and serves as the assistant pastor of Church on the Rise in Westlake, was arrested Wednesday, court records said.

He faces a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, court records said. The victim was 14 years old at the time of the suspected abuse.

Lorain County Prosecutor Dennis Will told the Chronicle Telegram that Jordan's father, Paul Endrei is accused of molesting the girl beginning in 2005. He is also accused of having sexual contact with her in 2009, 2010 and 2013, he said.

Will said Jordan Endrei held a position of authority over the girl in 2010, when he is accused of abusing her.

The Avon Police Department handled the investigation against Endrei and his father, who serves as a senior pastor of Church on the Rise and is facing similar charges.

Church officials said both men are accused of abusing the same girl.

Lorain County Children's Services assisted in the investigation, but a representative said the organization could not comment on the case.

Jordan Endrei and his father are free on bond and briefly spoke at a 7 p.m. service at Church on the Rise Wednesday.

Church officials at the service said both men deny the charges against them and will plead not guilty at their arraignments.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated Jordan Endrei is facing charges of sexual battery and gross sexual imposition. His father, Paul Endrei is facing those charges.
