National Development and Fundraising Manager

Legion of Christ Incorporated, Institutional Advancement

Atlanta GA or White Plains NY

The Legion of Christ Incorporated is seeking a skilled, energetic and experienced National Development and Fundraising Manager to lead a team of nationwide lay fundraisers in achieving annual fund development goals that directly provide financial means for Regnum Christi Movement apostolic endeavors, religious community support and evangelization efforts. The position works in close collaboration with a wide array of internal and external individuals and organizations. Position reports to the Director of Marketing Development.

Specific Responsibilities

Oversee and directly collaborate with lay development officers and staff throughout eight (8) regions in North America.

Direct the national Annual Fund Program in a benefactor-centered manner including:

o Securing new benefactors and enhancing the generosity of existing and former donors via personal cultivation and systematic market segmentation methods. This is a key performance indicator (KPI) priority.

o Overseeing the effective use of activity-based metrics (contacts, calls, visits and asks).

o Designing, planning and managing annual fund campaigns, scholarship drives, monthly giving and events.

o Mentoring and advocating continuous improvement of development staff productivity and effectiveness.

o Reporting regularly on quantitative and qualitative results achieved.

Work collaboratively with Planned Giving management towards the achievement of planned giving goals, KPIs and activity-based metrics.

Design and conduct training for lay fundraising personnel and other department personnel.

Qualifications

Education: BS/BA; MBA a plus

Experience:

Five (5) or more years of professional non-profit fundraising, or for-profit business services sales, management or marketing, involving direct management of professional and administrative work teams, empirical market-based planning and successful annual plan execution.

Refined skills in building and nourishing faith-based benefactor relationships with a wide variety and large number of supporting individuals.

Proven professional leadership record of consistently achieving goals, teamwork and cooperation.

Confident professional management skills characterized by proactive goal achievement, strong follow-through and collaborative interpersonal behaviors.

Experienced using empirical-based solutions in managing professional personnel, allocating resources and achieving established goals.

An instinctive drive to implement effective and scalable systems that enable personnel to flourish and that continually improve information reporting, skills training and team performance.

Superior written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

A practicing Roman Catholic is a bona fide occupational requirement of the position.

Technical Skills

Solid computer proficiencies particularly with contact management databases and MSOffice.

Hours of Work: Position requires working weekdays. Some evenings and weekends hours may occasionally be needed. Local and overnight travel required (estimated 50% travel).

Fluency in English required; and in Spanish is a plus.
