Chicago Tribune
July 12, 2014

A headline in Friday's Chicagoland section on a story about a DUI conviction in a "huffing" case misidentified Judge James Booras' county. He serves in Lake County.

.A Page 1 story Friday about the YMCA Urban Warriors program misspelled the name of contributing reporter Rosemary Regina Sobol.

A story Thursday about the drowning of a St. Charles boy did not accurately state two elements of a redacted police report. The report indicates the boy was found at the bottom of the pool without a safety vest, according to witnesses, but doesn't say if the vest was on while he went down a slide. Also the redacted report did not display who retrieved the boy from the pool.

A secondary headline in Thursday's Nation & World section mistakenly referred to rhinoceroses' horns as tusks.

Tribune articles on Oct. 29, 2013, and June 20, 2014, contained an inaccuracy about checks written by a Greek Orthodox priest accused of improperly spending money from a private trust fund. The Rev. James Dokos, while serving at a Milwaukee parish, wrote checks from the trust fund account totaling $6,700 — not $6,750, as previously reported — to Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos, the No. 2-ranking official at the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, according to documents obtained by the Tribune.

The Tribune regrets the errors.
