On September 2, 2014, first, it was Columbia Journalism Review who announced the launch of the new Crux full of praises, and it posed the important question, where’s the money coming from?
On September 3, dotCommonweal also answered that important dollar question why Boston Globe’s Crux is a standalone website – because it is already sitting on millions of dollars (but without saying that candidly):
