Scituate Parishioners Granted Reprieve in Church Vigil

Parishioners of a Scituate church who have kept a constant vigil for the past 11 years have been granted another temporary reprieve.

A court order would have forced them to leave the property by Friday afternoon.

A hearing is now set for next Wednesday.

The archdiocese of Boston filed a lawsuit against the vigil group in March after the Vatican denied the parishioners' appeal to keep the church open.
