A former Alabama youth minister is back behind bars after his bond was revoked, according to the Colbert County Sheriff's Department.

Charles Kyle Adcock was arrested in Texas for rape and sodomy charges out of Alabama in August 2014.

The sheriff said Adcock turned himself in Monday morning for violating bond conditions and is being held in the Colbert County Jail. Among other conditions, Adcock was ordered not to work or be employed in any capacity that would allow him direct, unsupervised contact with minors. He is now accused of violating his bond conditions.

He is a former youth minister at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals.

Adcock is charged with nine counts of sodomy and 22 counts of rape involving a teenager while he served as a youth minister. Investigators say the acts happened at the church and at his home between 2010 and 2012.

When the judge released him to his parent's custody in Texas 11 months ago, he was under strict supervision orders. Since then First Baptist Church Bedford in Bedford, TX announced Adcock as a worship pastor. His position had been posted to the church's website and an online newsletter.

A victim's advocacy group known as Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) called for the Texas church to remove him from his position. Advocates say they were notified about Adcock's position in the church by parents whose children attend classes there. Even though he has not been convicted, the group fears more children and teens could be at risk.

Multiple calls to the church in Texas have not been returned.
