Deputy headteacher at Ealing's St Benedict's School charged with possession of extreme porn and images of children

St Benedict's School deputy head Peter Allott will appear in court charged with possessing indecent images of children

A deputy head teacher from a Catholic school in Ealing has been charged with possession of extreme porn and making indecent images of children.

Peter William Allott, the deputy headteacher at St Benedict's School, Eaton Rise, was arrested by officers from the National Crime Agency(NCA)and Met police in Ealing on Monday (December 7).

According to NCA, the 36-year-old was charged on Tuesday (December 8) with offences of possessing, showing and making indecent images of children of Category A.

He was also charged with two offences of possession of extreme pornography.

A spokesperson from St Benedict's, a private day school, said: "We can confirm that Peter Allott, the deputy headmaster of St Benedict’s, was arrested by officers from the National Crime Agency yesterday morning (December 7) and has now been charged with a number of criminal offences.

"We are not prepared to confirm any further details of this arrest.

"As a result of these charges Mr Allott will be suspended from his duties and instructed to avoid contact with anyone from the school."

Allott has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court on Wednesday (December 9).
