Texas Pastor Had Sex with Teenager in Church Office

Henry Lee McGee Sr., a 68-year-old pastor at First Baptist Church in East Austin, has been charged with continuously sexually abusing a teenage churchgoer for more than a year.

A 68-year-old Central Texas pastor has been charged with continuously sexually abusing a teenage churchgoer for more than a year.

Round Rock police arrested Henry Lee McGee Sr., a pastor at First Baptist Church in East Austin, on Monday, according to Williamson County Jail records.

McGee was released the same day on a $80,000 bond, records show.

Police learned of McGee's alleged offenses after her friends at a youth group church meeting asked her about their relationship, according to an arrest affidavit. She told her friends that she had been having a sexual relationship with McGee for the past year.

After the alleged victim's parents learned of the relationship, the victim told Round Rock police that she began having sex with McGee in June 2014 when she was 13 years old.

McGee allegedly had sex with the underage girl in his church office, a storage unit, at his home while his wife was away and a hotel in Round Rock.

McGee has been charged with continuous sexual abuse with a child, a first-degree felony that carries a maximum life sentence.

Round Rock police believe McGee may have more victims, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
