Dolan claims he turned over e-mails to DA over priest’s ‘sex romps’

A scorned ex-girlfriend of Keith Crist (center) emailed details of his alleged kinky sex romps with the Rev. Peter Miqueli to Cardinal Dolan (left).

Timothy Cardinal Dolan said Saturday that he did indeed read an ungodly series of e-mails about the secret life of sex-slave priest Rev. Peter Miqueli — and handed the XXX-rated missives over to prosecutors.

“You bet I saw it. You bet I saw it,” Dolan said of the e-mails, in which an insider accused Miqueli of embezzling church funds to pay for $300 bottles of Scotch, a house on the Jersey Shore and rent for a bodybuilder boy toy.

The Post broke news of the cardinal’s racy reading material on Saturday.

The same allegations — that Miqueli traded his clerical collar for an S&M dog collar on the church dime — were first made public last week in a bombshell lawsuit by parishioners of St. Frances de Chantal in The Bronx.
Miqueli resigned from the Throggs Neck church later Saturday.

Dolan said he turned the e-mails over to investigators soon after receiving them this past summer from whistle-blower Tatyana Gudin, onetime live-in girlfriend and confidante of the priest’s S&M “master” Keith Crist.

First, though, Dolan invited Gudin to take her evidence to archdiocese investigators, the cardinal said. Gudin backed out when the archdiocese insisted she come alone, explained attorney Michael Dowd, who is representing her and the lawsuit’s 14 parishioner plaintiffs.

“She’s telling the truth,” Dowd said of Gudin. “Everything she has told us has been consistent and has checked out.”

Documents show Miqueli was paying Crist’s rent and had far more money than a $2,474-a-month priest’s salary could explain, Dowd said.

A brokerage account obtained by Dowd shows that Miqueli had $900,000 in stocks in 2013 and 2014, the lawyer said.

“Basically, they wanted me to turn over the smut so they could continue the cover-up,” Gudin told The Post of the archdiocese’s conditions for meeting with her.

The archdiocese has vehemently denied any cover-up — yet Dolan said Saturday he is upset the allegations against Miqueli were outed before an probe could be completed.

“What distresses me, I think, [is] the innuendo that the archdiocese is taking this with anything less than the gravity it deserves,” New York’s Catholic leader said.

“We’ve been cooperating with these people. We’ve had a number of audits. And we’re prepared to arrive at a resolution within the first of the year.” Dolan added, “If these allegations are true, they’re awful, they’re mean, they’re vicious.”

A spokeswoman for the Bronx DA’s Office confirmed Saturday that it was investigating Miqueli’s alleged larcenies, which the lawsuit estimates to be a total of $1 million from St. Frances and Miqueli’s prior church, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini on Roosevelt Island.
