The New Ulm Diocese has released the names of 16 priests credibly accused of sexually abusing children.
Attorney Jeff Anderson, who represents clergy sex-abuse victims, made the names public at a news conference Tuesday in St. Paul.
Anderson sued the New Ulm Diocese and has demanded the release of the names for more than two years. The list of names was agreed upon by the diocese and Anderson.
At least three priests on the list are still alive. Anderson says his office will likely make other names public later.
On its website, the New Ulm Diocese said disclosing the names "is an important part of the healing process" for victims.
The Star Tribune reports New Ulm is the final Minnesota diocese to make public a list of its accused clergy.
