Matthew Sandusky, the abused son of infamous child molester Jerry Sandusky, has revealed plans to join anti-abuse protesters at a Whole Foods Market demonstration in New York City at the end of May.

The upcoming protest is supported by the junior Sandusky's organization, Peaceful Hearts Foundation, with additional support by Survivors Network of those Abused By Priests (SNAP), and the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (NAASCA).

The protest targets Whole Foods co-CEO and co-founder John Mackey's ties with so-called "spiritual leader" Marc Gafni, who has been repeatedly accused of sexually abusing children.

The New York Times described Gafni as a former rabbi with a "troubled past."

Mackey has referred to Gafni as a "bold visionary," and has yet to disavow the spiritual leader.

NAASCA Says Whole Foods Is Not Doing Enough

Whole Foods has made a parallel statement on Twitter and Facebook, defining Mackey's relationship with Gafni as "his personal business"...But leaders working to eradicate child sexual abuse think Mackey needs to say more.

NEW YORK TIMES Details The Controversy

The growing prominence of Mr. Gafni, 55, and his think tank has alarmed many Jewish leaders who know him as a former rabbi who was accused of sexually exploiting a high school freshman and who then moved to Israel to start a mystical community, only to lose it after having affairs with multiple followers.

HUFFINGTON POST Condemns Whole Foods

I'll admit it, I used to love Whole Foods...However, I refuse to support any company that openly backs a pedophile and doesn't use their platform to take a stand against something as important as child sexual abuse - an issue that affects more than 42,000,000 Americans.

Abuse Victims Speak Up

The addition of Matthew Sandusky to the coalition against Whole Foods puts more weight behind the movement.

Matthew is the adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, a former assistant football coach for Penn State University. When the senior Sandusky's trial began in 2012, Matthew initially took the side of of his adopted father. However, after being questioned by the grand jury, he revealed the elder Sandusky began sexually abusing him when he was eight years old.

Gafni's accusers have shared similar stories. One alleged victim, Sara Kabakov, said she was 13 when the "conscious capitalist" began sexually assaulting her.

Mackey has since back-peddled slightly, saying his relationship with Gafni is "strictly personal."

Marc Gafni has not been charged with any crimes, but it should be noted the spiritual leader has openly admitted to having relationships with girls as young as 14. Knowing this, it does not appear the demonstrators in New York City will be asking for a whole lot.
