A Morris County man who taught at parochial schools and worked at a summer camp for boys was charged Thursday with producing and distributing child pornography and enticing a minor to commit criminal sexual activity, according to federal prosecutors.

Colin M. Skeele, 30, of Florham Park, was arrested Thursday by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations, according to the office of U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman. He was charged with two counts of producing child pornography, one count of enticing a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity and one count of distribution of child pornography, court records say.

Skeele appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph A. Dickson and was held without bail, Fishman's office said.

According to court records, Skeele worked at parochial schools in Boonton from 2009-2010 and Stirling in 2012. In addition, he was employed seasonally at a boys summer camp in Hardwick.

Skeele also is facing state charges related to allegedly having sex with an underage ambulance corps volunteer and viewing child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges. He is suspended from his position with the Glenwood Pochuck Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

In the latest case, a 16-year-old boy who met Skeele in 2008 or 2009 told investigators that Skeele sent him hundreds of images of child pornography and that one of the images was of a boy who they knew from summer camp, court records say.

In addition, a witness allegedly told investigators that Skeele in 2012 planned to pay for and view live child sexual abuse transmitted via Skype from the Philippines. According to court records, Skeele paid $115 with his credit card to watch live video of child sexual abuse. On other days in February, 2012, he paid about $900 for other live video shows, court records say.

Investigators are asking for anyone with information to call the Department of Homeland Security in Newark at 973-776-6500.

The two counts of producing child pornography each carry mandatory minimum sentences of 15 years in prison with a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, Fishman's office said. The count of enticement of a minor carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison up to life in prison and a fine of $250,000, it said. The charge of distributing child pornography carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison up to a maximum of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000, it said.
