Catholic Teacher Charged with Abusing Two Girls at Wa College

A WA Catholic schoolteacher has been charged with sexually abusing two female students.

The Maylands man, 47, indecently assaulted two female students aged 13 to 14 between January 2014 and July 2015 when he was a teacher at a Catholic college, police say.

He has been charged with five counts of indecent dealing with a child over 13 and under 16 and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old Bunbury man has been charged over the alleged sexual abuse of three girls during the 1980s and 1990s.

Police allege the man indecently assaulted the three girls — who were known to him through their parents — between 1986 and 1993.

The girls were aged from eight to 14 when the first offence occurred.

The man has been charged with nine counts of indecent treatment of a child under 14 years and one count of indecent dealing of a child under 13 years.

He is due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on September 29.
