Pastor Adair Krack has led the First Baptist Church in Hoquiam, Washington for five years.

Deputies in Gray’s Harbor County say Krack is accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl at his home during a week-long Bible school.

Prior to working in Hoquiam, Krack worked at two churches in Portland.

“There were things that he would do that just didn't strike us quite right,” Keith Allen, who worked with Krack, said.

Allen worked with Krack at First Baptist in Portland in the 1990s, specifically with kids.

“We saw him interact with girls in ways that were concerning,” Allen said.

From day one Allen says he had concerns about Krack.

“He always wanted to get the kids off by themselves and don’t want us to have as much contact with the older kids,” Allen said.

At the time Allen and his wife had worked at the church for many years.

“I kind of started going whoa and watching at that point,” Allen said.

His feelings were validated when the kids he worked with opened up about their concerns as well.

“She said we want to see if you can do something about Adair, he makes us feel creepy and won’t let us walk by unless he gives us a hug,” Allen said.

After a number of complaints, Allen went to the church.

He says his family was blacklisted, and Krack was asked to resign only to be re-assigned to another Portland church.

“We tried to do something, maybe we could have done more,” Allen said.

Krack was arrested Wednesday. Just a few hours later he posted bail. He is charged with two counts of child molestation.

Investigators are concerned there may be more victims out there. If you or someone you know was a victim you are asked to call police.
