In this Pacific Daily News file photo dated Aug. 15, 1965, Louis Brouillard is shown filming footage in an outdoor setting. In the full frame of the picture, which is cropped, boys, some in Boy Scouts uniforms, stand around Brouillard.

A former altar boy on Thursday filed a clergy sex abuse lawsuit in federal court, alleging that former priest Louis Brouillard routinely sexually abused him during sleepovers at a Malojloj convent and during Boy Scouts of America camping trips in the early 1970s.

Brouillard, now 95 and living in Minnesota, has admitted to abusing at least 20 boys while he was on Guam.

As of Thursday, 30 men have sued Brouillard, accusing him of sexually abusing and molesting them, including one man who said the priest also raped him.

The latest plaintiff, identified in court documents only as J.D. to protect his privacy, is now 54 and lives in Malojloj. J.D.'s complaint is the 49th Guam clergy sex abuse lawsuit filed so far in the federal and local courts.

In his complaint, J.D. said he said he was around 10 when Brouillard started abusing him. He said he was an altar boy at San Isidro Catholic Church in Malojloj around 1972 or 1973. On many occasions when J.D. served Mass as an altar boy, he witnessed Brouillard completely naked under his robe while saying Mass, the complaint states. The sexual abuse continued during Boy Scouts swimming and camping trips, where Brouillard was a scoutmaster, the complaint states.

J.D. has asked for a jury trial and minimum $10 million in damages. His complaint names the Archdiocese of Agana, Brouillard, Boy Scouts of America and its Aloha Council Chamorro District as defendants.

During boy scout camping trips, Brouillard went around the campsite into each tent to conduct a head count. When Brouillard entered J.D.'s tent, the priest began sexually abusing him and his tentmate, the lawsuit states. The lawsuit state J.D. believes Brouillard sexually abused other boys that night.
