A prominent city rabbi and landlord has been ordered to testify after being accused of sexually abusing teenage boys in a civil case. Rabbi Daniel Greer was accused of abusing a boy more than a decade ago and it is alleged in the lawsuit that the victim wasn't the only one.

Jury selection is scheduled for Wednesday and the trial could start later this week, according to the New Haven Register.

Greer invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. To sign up for New Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Former student Eliyahu Mirlis attended The Gan School and Yeshiva of New Haven. He alleges in the lawsuit that he began to be abused when he was 15-years-old on multiple occasions. Greer also is accused of frequently giving Mirlis alcohol and showing him pornographic films as he was allegedly raping and assaulting him, according to the lawsuit. The assaults allegedly occurred at Greer's home, at school-owned properties and in motels in the greater New Haven area and in Pennsylvania.
