1. Day Four of Deliberation in Yanez Trial

Jurors will return to deliberation on Thursday in the Jeronimo Yanez manslaughter trial. On Wednesday afternoon, the judge re-read portions of his instructions to the jury in front of a packed courtroom filled with families, lawyers, deputies and press. The jury has been deliberating since Monday, and were sent back to continue deliberating after the judge's re-reading.

2. Shakopee Superintendent to Resign

The Shakopee school board will meet Monday to discuss accepting the resignation of Superintendent Rod Thompson, according to a release from the district. The district said no information regarding Thompson's resignation will be released at this time. Thompson is under scrutiny after Shakopee police have been investigating him for his use of the district's credit card.

3. Reports Say Mueller Probe Now Examining Possible Obstruction

The special counsel appointed to investigate Russian influence in the 2016 presidential campaign is now examining whether President Donald Trump tried to obstruct justice, The Washington Post reported Wednesday evening. Accusations of obstruction arose last month when Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. Comey testified in a Senate hearing last week that he believed he was fired "because of the Russia investigation."

4. Archdiocese to Appear in Court in Bankruptcy Case

The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the creditor's committee in the archdiocese's bankruptcy case are set to appear in court Thursday. Both parties had the opportunity to file objections to the case's plans of reorganization by June 7. Thursday's hearing will determine a schedule to further address objections to plans of reorganization.

5. Ramsey County Pushes Bicycle Safety

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office will be promoting bicycle safety Thursday with a bike rodeo. The bike rodeo will offer an equipment check, bicycle safety instruction and a skills course. The event is open to all Ramsey County residents. The event is at 8 a.m. Thursday at Island Lake Park in Shoreview.
