Rabbi confesses and convicted of sexual offenses against eight women

Rabbi Ezra Sheinberg was convicted of committing sexual offenses against eight women after he confessed to the allegations. Sheinberg admitted as part of a plea bargain stating that the prosecution would seek to sentence him to eight years and nine months in prison.

The prosecution said that at the end of the day the prosecution decided to accept the recommendation of the magistrate and the outline she had proposed, and to conclude the case in a plea bargain, in light of the overall view of the public interest.
