Los Angeles County prosecutors are reviewing a sex crimes case against fired "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey, a source said Wednesday.

The case was brought to prosecutors Thursday by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and the alleged encounter is currently under review by the District Attorney's Office Sex Crimes Task Force.

The events in question allegedly took place in October 1992 in West Hollywood, and involved an adult male, according to a statement from the sheriff's department — thus placing it outside the statute of limitations, reports TMZ.

The sheriff's department's special victims bureau first started its investigation in December. The case was first reported by NBC News.

Spacey, 58, is already under investigation by the Scotland Yard for three separate sexual assault allegations, with the most recent one launching in January.

That accusation was brought to police Dec. 13 by a man who claims the Oscar-winning star sexually assaulted him in Westminster in 2005. The first and second probes involve assaults in 2005 and 2008.

Former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh also told the Daily News that a criminal investigation had begun against Spacey after he allegedly grabbed her teenage son's genitals at a Nantucket club in 2016.

"I want to see Kevin Spacey go to jail. I want to see Kevin Spacey have the hand of justice come down on him, not just for my son, but for the many others who have yet to speak their truth," she said.

Unruh family lawyer Mitchell Garabedian told the Daily News on Wednesday that his client’s case is under review now by prosecutors in Massachusetts.

“My understanding is that the district attorney of Nantucket is currently investigating the matter,” Garabedian said. “My client is cooperating.”

Garabedian has represented scores of survivors of clergy sex abuse and was depicted in the movie “Spotlight.”

“Given my experience with regard to claims of sexual abuse, it’s not surprising that Kevin Spacey allegedly sexually abused more than one individual across the country and possibly around the world,” he said.

“Sexual predators do not stop sexually abusing innocent victims until they are prevented from doing so by either the law or because of illness. It’s a matter of control and not sex for most sexual predators."

“The victim who is coming forward in this particular matter in California should be proud,” he said. “In doing so, he or she is empowering other victims and making the world a safer place.”

Actor Anthony Rapp was the first to come forward with accusations of predatory behavior against Spacey.

The "Rent" star told BuzzFeed in October that the actor made an unwanted sexual advance toward him when he was just 14.

Rapp's allegation opened the floodgates against Spacey, who was quickly hit with dozens of similar accusations, and fired from the Netflix series "House of Cards," and erased from Ridley Scott's "All the Money in the World."
