Retired Judge Michael Talbot, who’s been delegated by the Saginaw Catholic Diocese to investigate whether Diocesan employees have committed acts of abuse or sexual misconduct met Wednesday with the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office. Talbot said he’s talked to employees and gone over messages at the Victim’s Assistance Office, but turned up no new allegations other than what’s already been made public, including those against former priest Robert DeLand.
Talbot told WNEM TV 5 he believes both sides have a mutual interest in seeing to it that if there’s someone else committing a crime, they must be removed from any kind of ministry position and charged.
