After former altar boys tearfully went public with allegations, a law was passed to open doors for lawsuits against the church, clergy and others.

Two priests raped and molested the same Asan altar boy during different times in the 1970s, according to a $10 million clergy sex abuse lawsuit filed on Thursday.

Monsignor Jose Ada Leon Guerrero and Father Raymond Techaira, now both deceased, allegedly sexually abused, molested and raped plaintiff M.C.A. when he was an altar boy at the Nino Perdido y Sagrada Familia Parish in Asan.

M.C.A., in his lawsuit, said Leon Guerrero abused him when he was around 8 years old, on several occasions throughout 1974 in the priest's upstairs bathroom.

"Guerrero would remind MCA not to tell anybody since MCA was a chosen child," the lawsuit says. Leon Guerrero was transferred to another parish in 1974.

From 1976 through 1978

From 1976 through 1978, when M.C.A. was around 10 to 12 years old and still serving as an altar boy in Asan, Techaira repeatedly sexually molested and abused him on parish grounds. The abuses also included rape.

M.C.A., identified only by his initials in court documents to protect his privacy, now lives in Dededo but lived in Asan in his childhood years.

M.C.A. is represented by Attorney David Lujan, who filed the case in the Superior Court of Guam late Thursday afternoon. Lujan filed all his estimated 120 clergy sex abuse cases in the U.S. District Court of Guam.

The Archdiocese of Agana is a plaintiff in nearly 200 clergy sex abuse cases, which the parties are trying to settle by mid-January.
