Nebraska Diocese Releases Lists of Priests Accused of Sexual Misconduct

The Catholic Diocese of Lincoln released a list Tuesday of nine priests accused of substantiated sexual abuse of kids. Three more on the list are currently being investigated.

The diocese said it’s part of Bishop Conley’s Task Force on Child Sexual Abuse.

The list includes three categories: Priests that are dead with substantiated allegations of child sexual misconduct against them. Three priests are listed in that category.

Second, living priests with substantiated allegations of sexual misconduct.

It also lists three priests that are currently on leave pending an investigation.

The diocese said they will continue to cooperate with the Nebraska Attorney General's statewide investigation of clergy sexual abuse.

In February, the state’s Department of Justice issued subpoenas to the church for records related to child sexual assault.

The Diocese of Lincoln covers most of the southern half of Nebraska.
