A handful of brave female bloggers who expose child sex crimes in churches have just been profiled by the Washington Post. We are humbled by and grateful for the extraordinary compassion and courage of these women and hope their work to protect the vulnerable encourages others to follow in their footsteps. We also hope that other mainstream journalists will see how impressive and credible these prophets are.

Jules Woodson, Dee Parsons, Christa Brown, Amy Smith, Ashley Easter and others are to be commended for listening to and believing survivors, while also helping to bring to light the church officials who commit and conceal horrific crimes against innocent kids and vulnerable adults. We are honored to know them. Church officials - and members - should listen to them.

Finally, we hope that every single current or former Protestant church member or staffer will find the strength to share their knowledge and suspicions about church crimes and cover ups with law enforcement, these brave bloggers and other journalists until wrongdoers are exposed and removed and until all are safer in houses of worship.
