Judge Orders Columbus Diocese to Release Priest Abuse Files

A Franklin County judge has ordered the Catholic Diocese of Columbus to release files related to priests accused of sexual abuse as part of an ongoing lawsuit. The judge denied a broad request for files and instead told the Diocese to release documents created before the plaintiff's complaint about alleged abuse by the late Monsignor Thomas Bennett at St. Charles Preparatory School in Bexley. The judge's order last week gave officials 30 days to comply.
