SNAP Sendai Calls for Apology from Archdiocese of Nagasaki

SNAP Sendai has learned about harassment from church officials at the Archdiocese of Nagasaki and are now calling for a public apology.

“The counselor room manager of the Archdiocese of Nagasaki responded sincerely to the victims,” said Harumi Suzuki, Leader of SNAP Sendai. “Archbishop Nagasaki added serious power harassment to the counselor room manager until she was unable to work.”

Now, SNAP Sendai is calling for the Archbishop of Nagasaki to apologize for his treatment of the counseling manager and reaffirm his commitment to the proper treatment of survivors.

“Archbishop Nagasaki should deeply regret the power harassment he added to counselor room manager in the Archdiocese and seriously apologize to her,” said Suzuki. “Attacking those who defend the victims is an embarrassing act as the Archbishop and is humanely unacceptable.”
