A priest has been arrested in the stabbing of a 25-year-old man only weeks after being freed without bail on charges he took nude photos of a teenage boy, authorities said yesterday.

Rev. Thomas Morrow, 51, was nabbed Monday night by detectives at his Rego Park, Queens, apartment, where the attack allegedly occurred last week.

Morrow is charged with stabbing John Vasquez, 25, in the pre-dawn hours Friday after a night of drinking and smoking crack.

A police spokeswoman said Morrow had brought Vasquez and an unidentified man to his apartment and paid them for sex.

Morrow became violent, threatened to kill Vasquez and stabbed him with a hunting knife, the spokeswoman said. The victim is in stable condition at City Hospital at Elmhurst.

Authorities said Morrow had been freed without bail on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor filed last month. A spokeswoman for the Queens district attorney said prosecutors did not request bail because Morrow was charged with misdemeanors and had roots in the community.

Morrow, who is also a licensed psychologist, was accused of taking photos of a 15-year-old as he showered. Investigators also recovered a trove of child porn photos and crack pipes in his apartment.

He has been on a leave of absence from the Brooklyn diocese since 1987.

He was awaiting arraignment last night in Queens Criminal Court.
