  Rev. Duane Lukes' Rites to Be Monday

Services for the Rev. Duane W. Lukes, a priest with Omaha Archdiocese, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Lukes died Friday in a nursing home. He was 67.

Lukes was born in Laurel, Neb., to William and Thresa Lukes. He graduated from Laurel High School and attended Conception College in Missouri and St. Paul's Seminary in St. Paul, Minn.

Lukes was ordained May 11, 1957. During his tenure as a priest in Nebraska, he served at St. Stanislaus Parish in Omaha; St. Wenceslaus Parish in Dodge; St. Pius X Parish in Omaha; Holy Family Parish in Lindsay; St. Ann Parish in Omaha; Sacred Heart Parish in Norfolk; St. William Parish in Niobrara; St. Edward Parish in St. Edward; and St. Mary Parish in Osmond.

Lukes is survived by two brothers, Claude and Kenneth Lukes, both of California.
