Here are some of the more high-profile cases handled by the state task force:

Priest/pastor

  • Father Shamaun Beas, 35, assistant pastor at St. Patrick's Church in Portland. Sentence: Five to 20 years for two counts of child sexually abusive activity and two counts of using a computer to communicate with another to commit a crime.
