Mravintz, Bro. Ralph, A.S.M., age 80, of Dayton, Ohio, died May 23, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born May 28, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Ralph and Leona Mravintz. He is survived by his sisters Clare Schessler and Grace Ladesic and his brothers, Raymond and Regis Mravintz.

He entered the Society of Mary and professed first vows August 20, 1944 and perpetual vows on August 24, 1947. Graduated from the University of Dayton in 1950 and obtained a Masters in Education in 1955 from the University of Pittsburgh. Bro. Ralph taught at St. John's Home in Brooklyn, NY, Purcell High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, Hamilton Catholic in Hamilton, Ohio, Cathedral Latin in Cleveland, Ohio, Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY, North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He also was Admissions Director at the University of Dayton before returning to teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Chaminade Madonna High School, both in Florida. Visitation will take place at Queen of Apostles Chapel, Mount Saint John, 4435 E. Patterson Rd. between 6:00 & 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at Queen of Apostles Chapel at 7:00 PM and burial will take place immediately after the Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Marianist Mission Scholarship Fund. Arrangements by BRADFORD-CONNELLY & GLICKLER FUNERAL HOME, Dayton.
