Dear Alumni:

Early last week, the New York Jesuit Province notified McQuaid that it had received a credible allegation of sexual abuse of a minor approximately 24 years ago at a Jesuit High School in New York City against Fr. John Costello, S.J., a member of the McQuaid faculty.

Below is the text of a public release on this matter for your review and information.

It is important for you to know of these events, however unfortunate. It is also important that I restate, as strongly as possible, that McQuaid Jesuit will never tolerate any form of sexual abuse or harassment.
