NORTH BEND, ORE. — The Rev. PIUS BRAZAUSKAS, a Roman Catholic priest whose religious paintings have been exhibited around the world, died Thursday. He was 84. Born into a Lithuanian farming family, he was ordained in 1930. After studying fine arts before World War II, Brazauskas fled with his sister, two brothers and another pastor to Salzburg, Austria, to escape the Nazis. In 1949, he become an assistant at a parish in St. Louis, later he worked as a hospital chaplain in Eugene, Ore., and North Bend.
