We are happy to announce an exciting program of faculty-escorted pilgrimages, educational and adventure tours for 2007. Travel with the experts!

Bishop John W. Yanta of Amarillo and Father Charles H. Miller, SM, Professor of Theology, will direct a Lenten pilgrimage to Marian and other shrines in Europe: Fatima (where Our Lady engaged Soviet Communism already in 1917), Santiago de Compostela (pilgrimage goal for millions of Christians through more than 1,000 years), Avila (home of St. Teresa, one of the Church’s greatest mystics), Zaragoza (Our Lady of the Pillar is the oldest shrine to Our Blessed Mother, founded by St. James the Apostle himself), Lourdes (site of both miraculous physical and spiritual healings), and Paris (apparitions of Our Blessed Mother and the Miraculous Medal). Father Conrad Kaczkowski, SM, Professor of History and Philosophy, brings his vast knowledge of European history to a delightful spring break program in Tuscany. All ages welcome! There will be distinct programs for children, for teenagers, and for adults. Residing in a Renaissance Medici estate village just outside Florence, you’ll be within commuting distance of Pisa and Siena and San Gemignano, but without the traffic noises in the evenings. Dr. Wenbin Luo, a native of China and member of our Department of Engineering, will share his knowledge of his native land on a tour and Yangtze River cruise.
