A HIGHLAND police chief has issued an appeal to members of the public who may have been affected by sex abuse at a former school.
Allegations about historic abuse at the Fort Augustus Abbey School have hit the headlines in recent weeks following a BBC investigation.
Now, the Highland and Islands Division of Police Scotland is investigating the historic reports of alleged abuse from former pupils and is appealing for anyone affected to come forward.
The investigation followed a report in March 2013, by a former pupil of the Abbey, of sex abuse at the school during the 1980s.
