Roman Catholic dioceses in the United States are annually audited regarding compliance with the U.S. Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People (Office for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults, in the Diocese of San Jose).
In late September, the DSJ was audited for several days by representatives of StoneBridge Business Partners who performed an on-site audit. Their letter to Bishop McGrath stated, “The Diocese has been found compliant with all audited Articles within the Charter…for the 2012/2013 audit period.”
Conclusions reached as to compliance are based upon inquiry, observation and the review of specifically requested documentation furnished to StoneBridge.
