An Albany man who formerly was a priest in Corvallis has been arrested on multiple charges of encouraging child sexual abuse.
Albany Police, assisted by the state Department of Justice, executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of SE 8th Avenue in Albany at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Stanley Brittain, 39, was arrested and lodged in the Linn County jail on 25 counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and another 25 counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse.
Brittain worked as a priest under the name Father Isidore until last week with the St. Anne Orthodox Church in Corvallis.
