A priest with the St. Anne Orthodox Church in Corvallis was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges.

Stanley Brittain, known to his parishioners as Father Isodore, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. after Albany police detectives, with help from the Oregon Department of Justice, executed a search warrant at his Albany residence on the 2400 block of Eighth Avenue Southeast.

He was booked in the Linn County Jail on 25 counts each of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and second-degree encouraging child sex abuse.

The investigation began after the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force tipped off the Albany Police Department.
