GUWAHATI, April 18 – Coming down heavily on the Congress party, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today alleged that Sonia Gandhi has secret accounts in foreign banks.
Speaking to reporters here, Swamy said that Gandhi has three accounts with a total worth of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in foreign banks and added that the Congress president withdrew $10 billion from a Vatican bank recently, said Swamy.
Gandhi withdrew the amount from the Vatican-based bank after Pope Francis recently declared that all accounts in banks based in the city state disclose the name of the account holder.
According to Swamy, Gandhi allegedly has accounts in one bank in Vatican, besides two Swiss banks – Sarasin in Basel and Pictet Bank in Zurich.
