A former Catholic priest was led away in handcuffs at Sarnia courthouse Wednesday.
Ontario Superior Court Justice Joseph Donohue sentenced 57-year-old Gabriele DelBianco to four years in federal prison on sex-related charges against two teenage girls.
In February, DelBianco was found guilty of three of 18 charges against him relating to incidents involving four female teens during the 1980′s in southwestern Ontario.
He received three years for each of the two sexual assault charges, which were to be served concurrently, and a further 12 months for gross indecency.
One of the complainants, who gave a victim impact statement, says the click of the handcuffs was one of the sweetest sounds she’s heard in a long time.
