Jon Paul Sheptock, the Christian music artist born without arms who sang at a Trump rally in 2022, has been arrested on charges related to possessing and producing child pornography.

According to ABC 13, a written testimony from the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office in Texas accuses Sheptock, 49, of stealing a picture from a 17-year-old high school senior seven years ago. The victim claims that he stole the photo from her iCloud account.

“After the defendant (Sheptock) sent the image of the victim, he told her that he wanted more explicit images of her,” the affidavit reads.

Court documents state that Sheptock showed the victim multiple nude photographs of adults and young girls on his computer.

“The defendant (Sheptock) then sent her a video depicting someone being physically assaulted, accompanied by a statement implying that he did not want that to happen to her.”

In the affidavit, the alleged victim expressed concerns about coming forward because of her parents’ religious beliefs.

“The victim was concerned about how her parents would react to the fact that she had taken a nude photo of herself,” the affidavit reads.

Sheptock was a well-known leader in his community. According to detectives, he was employed as a Worship Minister at First Montgomery Baptist Church in Montgomery, Texas, and was recruited to sing the national anthem at a Trump rally in 2022.

According to the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, officers tried to arrest Sheptock on 26 September, but he was not present when detectives arrived. He was later found at the Dr. Lane Murray Unit Prison, a local women’s prison where he also served as a minister. The Texas Board of Criminal Justice officers took him into custody from the women’s prison.

“Given the position of trust Sheptock held with his employer, Precinct 3 detectives are urging anyone with concerns or information regarding Sheptock to contact (281) 364-4211 and request to speak with a detective,” officers said in a statement.
