New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond has announced the schedule for the group meetings for survivors of sexual abuse.
These meetings are open to survivors of child sexual abuse or other adults who may have experienced sexual abuse by a person in the ministry of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
The archdiocese said the purpose of the meetings is for survivors to listen, question, and freely share their experiences and otherwise freely participate in these open visits for survivors.
Here is the list of when the ten group meetings will be held:
Friday, February 6
- Holy Name of Jesus Parish 12:00 Noon, 6367 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana
- St. Peter Claver Parish 7:00 pm, Office – 1910 Ursulines Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana
Saturday, February 7
- St. Philip Neri Parish 3:00 pm, 6500 Kawanee Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana
- St. Charles Borromeo Parish 6:30 pm, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, Louisiana
Sunday, February 8
- Our Lady of Prompt Succor Parish 12:00 Noon, 2320 Paris Road, Chalmette, Louisiana
- St. Maria Goretti Parish 3:00 pm, 7300 Crowder Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana
Monday, February 9
