Police in Dauphin County have charged Michael McMullen in relation to multiple assaults over several decades.

A Dauphin County man is accused of sexually abusing several underage victims over several decades.

Last November, Susquehanna Township Police charged 68-year-old Michael A. McMullen Sr. with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault of someone under the age of 16. Those charges stem from an incident on Sept. 9, 2025.

At the time, McMullen served as a pastor at St. John AME Church in Lebanon. He was named the Chief Marshall of the First Episcopal District – AME Church last February, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page.

FOX43 has reached out to St. John AME Church and the First Episcopal District for comment on whether McMullen is still associated with the church — but has not heard back as of Thursday evening.

Following those charges, other victims came forward to disclose that they were also abused by McMullen, according to Harrisburg Police — who filed additional charges stemming from “an ongoing investigation into acts that McMullen committed with minors years ago.”

In the second case, McMullen is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 13, indecent assault of someone under the age of 16 and corruption of minors.

One of the alleged victims — now 34 years old — told police that McMullen touched her inappropriately and made lewd comments when she was 10 years old. That abuse escalated when she was 11 or 12 years old, when McMullen allegedly followed her into a bedroom on Easter Sunday and sexually assaulted her.

According to court documents, the victim said that McMullen sexually abused three other members of her family. In an interview, the victim’s mother told police that she too had been abused by McMullen when she was a minor. She also corroborated the claim that multiple family members had been abused.

McMullen was arrested on Thursday and is being held in Dauphin County Prison after being unable to post bail set at $75,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11.

Harrisburg Police have asked anyone with any information about McMullen or who has been a victim of an unreported sexual assault to contact them at 717-558-6900. Tips can also be submitted via CRIMEWATCH
