Many thanks to survivor Paula Kaempffer, Coordinator for Restorative Practices and Survivor Support at the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, for this webinar series!

The new Santa Fe archive at the Zimmerman Library (photo above) of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque is a publicly available online collection of priest files, depositions, and many other documents from one of the most important places in the ongoing clergy abuse crisis. The Archdiocese of Santa Fe has a long history and a consequential one in clergy abuse, including the resignation of Archbishop Robert Sanchez and major revelations in the Fr. James Porter and Fr. David Holley cases. Phil Saviano, one of Holley’s victims, plays a crucial role in the movie Spotlight, in the revelations of 2002, and in activism for survivors.

The Servants of the Paraclete were headquartered in the Santa Fe archdiocese and received offending priests from all over the country. They had an agreement with the archdiocese to allow the priests to minister in archdiocesan parishes. As a result, many children were abused by Porter, Holley, and the hundreds of other priests who came there for treatment. The survivor experience in the Santa Fe archdiocese is intense and widespread, because of the bad policies and actions of the archdiocese and the Servants of the Paraclete.

In the webinar, we’ll discuss the amazing people who have caused this archive to be released and posted as part of the Santa Fe bankruptcy settlement. We’ll look at how the archive is organized and how survivors’ statements and other documents shed light on their experience in the diverse and important Archdiocese of Santa Fe.

We hope to see you on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 7:30 pm Eastern. Please register to claim your spot. Everyone who registers will also receive a video of the webinar afterward.
