A former pastor in Crystal Springs plans to plead guilty to multiple charges, including statutory rape and sexual battery.
Court documents showed that Christopher Willett, the former pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Crystal Springs, intends to plead guilty to statutory rape, sexual battery and incest.Man pleads guilty to mass shooting on Mississippi Coast
Willett was initially arrested in March 2025 and booked into the Copiah County Jail.
As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed to recommend that Willett be sentenced to:
- Statutory rape – 30 years, with five years suspended
- Sexual battery – 30 years, with five years suspended
- Incest – 10 years
Willett will also be ordered to pay an investigative fee, court costs and a payment to the Crime Victims’ Compensative Fund.
If the plea deal is approved by a judge, the sentences would run concurrently, and Willett would serve 25 years.
