(AGI) Palermo – Davide Mordino, one time parish priest at the San Calogero Basilica in Sciacca, has been arrested for pedophilia. Police carried out an arrest warrant issued by Palermo Investigating Magistrate maria Pino, on the request of Prosecutors Laura Vaccaro and Alessia Sinatra the on the 41 year old priest. According to the Prosecution, the man abused several youths between 14 and 18 years of age up until December 30th of 2009, paying money for their sexual attentions. The arrest measure was carried out in Palermo, where the priest had been transferred. The matter came to light during the “Mata Hari” anti-drug operation, when it was discovered that one of those being investigated entertained the priest with sexual favors.
