MORE than 20 possible victims of the Fort Augustus Abbey and Carlekemp School sexual abuse scandals have been identified by police.
In a joint investigation with the crown office, the police are continuing their enquiries into the historic physical and sexual abuse at the schools, which dates back to the 1970s.
The investigation was launched in March after a former pupil came forward with the allegations against staff at the school.
Specialist Officers from Police Scotland will carry out a thorough investigation and thereafter will report their findings to the Procurator Fiscal.
