Statement by Barbara Dorris of St. Louis, Outreach Director of SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests ( 314-503-0003, SNAPdorris@gmail.com )

A former Windsor priest was sentenced to 4 years in prison for molesting multiple girls. He faced 18 charges of sexual abuse of children.

Windsor church officials should aggressively seek out others who may have seen, suspected or suffered this cleric’s crimes.

We are glad that this dangerous predator will spend time in jail. We are disappointed it is not for longer, but glad he will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

We hope church officials will take further action and post the names, photos, work histories and whereabouts of all credibly accused child molesters on church bulletins and websites. We also hope this ruling encourages others to come forward and report to police.
