ELGIN, Ill. — The president of the Institute of Islamic Education has been arrested for criminal sexual abuse.
Five muslims in Elgin will go to court Tuesday to accuse their local Imam of sexual abuse, including the abuse of children.
Four women and a man claim they were molested by Mohammad Abdullah Saleem, and the alleged abuse goes back decades.
Saleem founded the “Institute of Islamic Education” in 1989. He will appear in court this morning for a felony criminal sexual abuse charge.
